How to Prepare Your Skin Before Your Wedding
The finish of your bridal base is decided in the eight weeks before the wedding, not on the morning itself.
No base sits well on skin that is not ready. This is the timeline I give every bride.
Eight weeks out
Start any treatment you have been considering — facials, peels, anything active. Eight weeks gives your skin time to react, settle, and recover if something goes wrong. This is also the window to see a dermatologist if you have been putting it off.
Four weeks out
Stop introducing anything new. Whatever your skin is doing now is roughly what it will be doing on the day. Focus on hydration and consistency rather than results.
Two weeks out
No extractions, no aggressive exfoliation, no new products at all. Sleep and water do more at this stage than anything you can buy.
The week of
A gentle facial no later than seven days before — never closer. Keep your routine identical every night.
The morning
Clean skin, moisturiser, and the prep I bring. That is it. Whatever you do on the morning matters far less than what you did in the eight weeks before it.
